The following terms and conditions constitute a legal contract for the adoption of the cat described on page one of this contract between Little Muffins Kitten Rescue and the Adopter.

1. ____ The Adopter will pay a refundable deposit of $___ to Little Muffins Kitten Rescue. 
             a) This deposit will be returned if the cat is returned to Little Muffins Kitten Rescue.
             b) If the Adopter decides to officially adopt the cat this deposit will go towards their non-refundable adoption                          donation of $___.

2. ____ The Adopter agrees to provide proper care, including daily exercise and a healthy diet, for the cat. The cat will be an indoor companion and will be treated with loving care and affection at all times. The Adopter agrees to ensure the cat’s safety and well-being and will not allow the cat to roam freely outside.

3. ____ The Adopter will pay for food, litter, and other supplies necessary to care for the cat. 

4. ____  If the cat is in need of veterinary attention, shows any signs of illness or is lost or injured, the Adopter agrees to immediately contact Little Muffins Kitten Rescue. ​​​​
             a) The Adopter will follow all instructions given to them by Little Muffins Kitten Rescue. This also includes                                  instructions to return the cat to Little Muffins Kitten Rescue upon request. The cat remains the property of Little                    Muffins Kitten Rescue. 
             b)  Kittens are very susceptible to minor illnesses. Diarrhea can become very serious in kittens. Minor upper                             respiratory viruses can become pneumonia very quickly. If a kitten is not eating well or shows any sign of                             weakness, contact the Little Muffins Kitten Rescue ASAP.
             c) In the unlikely case that Little Muffins Kitten Rescue doesn’t respond in a timely fashion and the cat is in                                immediate need of veterinary attention, please take the cat to a vet.

5. ____ On or before _________ the Adopter will either return the cat or officially adopt the cat and sign the Little Muffin Kitten Rescue Adoption Contract. This contract will then be null.

 

I have read and understand the terms of this adoption agreement. I understand that by voluntarily signing this agreement, I am entering into a legal and binding contract with Little Muffins Kitten Rescue. I agree that breach of any term(s) of this agreement or any misrepresentations gives Little Muffins Kitten Rescue or their representatives the right to reclaim possession of the cat  without refund of adoption fee and / or pursue civil recourse.
